Siobhan McAdam (GK)
(11/12 Most Valuable Player)
(12/13 Players’ Player of the Year)
(13/14 Overall Contribution to DLHC)
(14/15 1XI Most Improved Player)
(16/17 Joint Captains’ Player of the Year)

Switched to GK during the 11/12 season. Relaxes on her Elevenses by watching YouTube videos of goalkeeping, probably with a duffel coat, bobble hat and notebook… All the swotting has paid off, as she was picked to represent the Ulster Masters in 2015.

Janice McVeigh (GK)
(14/15 Best Newcomer)
Joined at the start of the 14/15 season and it only took until the first Home Match Drinks for Janice to emerge as a serious contender for Jill’s microphone. The Yachtsman is still recovering…

Nicola Patton (GK)
(16/17 Joint Captains’ Player of the Year)
Joined at the start of the 15/16 season. Adds a little height to the current DLHC Goalkeepers’ Union.

Lisa Higgins (defence)
(11/12 Captain’s Player of the Year)
Into her 25th year of unbroken DLHC service this 17/18 season (nearly twice as long as some of the new Dee weans are alive) and still going strong!

Amy Long (defence)
(13/14 Best Newcomer)
(14/15 2XI Players’ Player of the Year and Coach’s Player of the Year)
The 12/13 season was the start of Amy’s second spell at DLHC, her first being when she was about the same size as her hockey stick. Considerably taller now, Amy is an integral part of the 1XI.

Lisa Alexander (defence)
(14/15 2XI Most Improved Player)
The first Captain of the first DLHC 2XI since the 80s, Lisa bridges the gap between young and old by getting down with the kids on What’s App whilst sipping gin.

Claire Stewart (defence)
(13/14 1XI Captain’s Player of the Year)
(14/15 1XI Players’ Player of the Year)
Joined DLHC at the start of the 13/14 season and has quickly become a regular in the 1XI. Outwardly calm but will stick up for herself when required!

Paige Reilly (defence)
(14/15 1XI Captain’s Player of the Year)
Joined DLHC at the start of the 14/15 season and was warned by her mother before the first Home Match Drinks to “behave, as these girls don’t know you yet!” She’s in good hands, Mrs Reilly!

Georgia Ferguson (defence)
(16/17 2XI Players’ Player of the Year and 2XI Coach’s Player of the Year)
Joined at the start of the 2016/17 season. Glides the ball out of defence like there are little wheels on the end of her legs.

Sarah-Louise Baird (defence)
Played a few games in the 2016/17 season but became fully invested when she fell in love with our bobble hats. Who wouldn’t?

Ali Lawther (midfield)
(10/11 Player of the Season)
(13/14 1XI Players’ Player of the Year)
(14/15 1XI Joint Coach’s Player of the Year)
Joined the club at the start of the 10/11 season, where her skill in midfield was matched only by her inaugural bonding session after the first game – who knew chips were so hard to eat?! (We knew immediately she was going to fit right in!)

Deborah Gilmour (midfield)
Won’t wear her kit because she is “keeping it good”.

Kerry Kennedy (midfield)
(14/15 1XI Joint Coach’s Player of the Year)
(16/17 1XI Players’ Player of the Year)

Superb hockey player who needs to be booked about a year in advance to have any hope of squeezing into her hectic diary.

Carmen van der Schyff (midfield)
Carmen will run. And run. And run. And run. And run. And run. And run. And run. And run…

Helen Hooks (midfield)
(2014/15 1XI Players’ Player of the Year and Coach’s Player of the Year)
The wee one who gets through a power of work seemingly effortlessly.

Natalie Jamieson (midfield)
Joined at the very end of the 2015/16 season, Natalie is quickly gaining a reputation for going on runs from one end of the pitch to t’other, usually finishing with a goal!

Rebecca Bolton (midfield)
(16/17 2XI Captain’s Player of the Year)
Joined at the start of the 2016/17 season. Another rising star of the Dee, Rebecca is already linking well with midfield partner in crime, Natalie.

Carolyn Scott (forward)
(13/14 1XI Top Goalscorer and Overall Contribution to DLHC)
(14/15 Overall Contribution to DLHC)
(15/16 1XI Top Goalscorer and Overall Contribution to DLHC)
(16/17 1XI Top Goalscorer and 1XI Coach’s Player of the Year)

Now the second longest serving current player, having joined the Dee in 2000/01 season. Loves a good list.

Kerrie Turtle (centre forward)
(11/12 Top Goalscorer)
(12/13 Top Goalscorer)
(13/14 1XI Most Improved Player)
(14/15 Overall Contribution to DLHC)
Kerrie joined DLHC in the 09/10 season, having had a wean about 3 days previously. Organised sponsorship of new tops because she “wanted a new one coz the other one went blue in the wash” apparently.

Emily Morris (forward)
(14/15 2XI Top Goalscorer)
Started her Dee career (in 2012) in time for Hockettes on the Piste 2013, turning up to her first training session with deposit in hand. Subsequently became ski instructor Serrrrgio’s star pupil. “Emeeellyyyyy! Ees not logical, but it is riiiight!”

Tasha Paxton (forward)
(14/15 Most Accident Prone)
Joined the club midway through the 12/13 season. Loves Jager Bombs and was christened Dora when she spent an entire night out without taking her backpack off.

Sarah Harkness (forward)

Angela Parker (forward)
(15/16 2XI Players’ Player of the Year)
Bounced up for the first pre-season fitness session of the 13/14 season and is now an integral part of the 2XI.

Vickie Pollock (forward)
(15/16 Joint 2XI Top Goalscorer)

Vicky O’Neill (forward)
(16/17 Joint 2XI Top Goalscorer)
Joined at the start of the 2016/17 season, just in time for her 15th birthday. We reckon she’s going to be even better than her ma, former Dee legend Nicky B!

Emma McGimpsey (forward)
Joined at the start of the 2017/18 season. Possibly the only player ever to helpfully inform a team-mate that she was “perpendicular” in the circle.

Leanna Young (forward)
Joined for the 2017/18 season.

Jill Dennison (forward)
Played for the Dee for about 63 years before a bad back finished off her playing career (got old). Never too far from the showshall events. Will stampede across a crowded room if there’s a microphone to be had (bad back or not).

Brian McKee (coach)
Has forgotten more about hockey than we ever knew. Unfailingly optimistic (an admirable trait for a DLHC coach) and has a total hockey crush on total hockey team, the Netherlands.
