About Us

Welcome to this little corner of t’internet which is the home of Donaghadee Ladies Hockey Club. Donaghadee is a pretty seaside town on the Ards Peninsula, and there has been a ladies hockey club in the town for longer than some of our oldest members can remember – and that is quite some time, believe us (though their memories are getting shorter, tis true).

We’re a small club but we’re on the up – currently fielding a 1XI which gained promotion from Senior 4 to Senior 3 at the end of the 2014/15 season, and a thriving 2XI as of the 13/14 season. We’re always on the lookout for new players, regardless of age or ability. Why not come down and give us a try?

During the season we train at Bangor Grammar School on the Gransha Road in Bangor. We’re on the pitch at Bangor Grammar from 7.30-9pm every Wednesday with the odd additional fitness session thrown in for good measure.

Our Head Coach is Willie McAdam, previously involved with Coleraine LHC, and current coach of Ulster Ladies O50s, so we’re delighted he has decided to join us at the start of the 2020/21 season.

Have a look around, and if you fancy coming down for a bit of a runabout, we’ll be very glad to see you!
