With the 2026/27 season just around the corner, life at Donaghadee Ladies Hockey Club has been hotting up over the last number of weeks, with lots happening both on and off the pitch.
New Coach Announced
Preparations for the new season are well underway, and with a number of pre-season friendlies already in the bag or pencilled in, DLHC is absolutely delighted to welcome one of their very own, Kerry Kennedy, into a Player-Coach role for 2026/27. While she is already a familiar face on the pitch, this new season sees Kerry take the reins to guide the club forward from both the sidelines and the thick of the action.
With league fixtures just around the corner, a new chapter awaits and Kerry is ready to welcome everyone, whether you’re a seasoned regular, a returning face, or someone looking to pick up a stick for the first time; now is a great time to join the fun in this exciting new era for the club.
Fixtures
The league programmes have been released by Ulster Hockey, and the first weekend sees both teams on their travels: the 2XI kick off their campaign away to CI 6s on Friday 18th September, while the 1XI are on the road to Limavady on Saturday 19th.
Fundraising Quiz: Saturday 3rd October
The first big fundraiser of the year has been confirmed as the ever-popular table quiz, to take place in the Meadowbank Social Club on Saturday 3rd October. Doors are from 7pm for a 7.30pm start, with tables of 4-6, £5 per person. Contact the club on dlhc@hotmail.co.uk, on Facebook or Instagram to secure tickets, or speak to any club member directly.

Top of the Dee Loyalty Card
The Club has officially launched a brand-new Loyalty Scheme, open to players, supporters and friends of the club to unlock exclusive everyday savings while supporting local businesses.
The new initiative is open to the all; anyone living in or visiting Donaghadee can sign up to receive the loyalty card which, for £30 will give access to a growing directory of discounts and special offers across participating retailers in the town.
